Burlington–Martin Ramirez scattered five hits and allowed one run over seven innings to lead the Carolina Rockies over the Dodgers 10-1 in a game that was called in the 8th inning due to heavy rain at Joe Davidson Park.
The Rockies offense had 13 hits and was led by lead-off batter Jonathon Foland who had three hits and scored three runs. Center fielder Saul Landeros drove in four runs on two doubles. Shortstop Brian Beckwith also had two hits, scored two runs and had two stolen bases.
